Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-07-05. These Terms of Service apply to Copaky for iOS, including the keyboard extension and the companion app.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Copaky ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The App

Copaky is a privacy-focused Japanese keyboard for iOS with an offline clipboard manager. It is an independent, open-source project built on azooKey (MIT). The App runs entirely on your device and does not collect or transmit your data (see the Privacy Policy).

3. License

Copaky's source code is released under the MIT License. It incorporates azooKey (MIT, © Keita Miwa / ensan) and other third-party components under their own licenses — see LICENSE and CREDITS.md in the repository, and the in-app Acknowledgements screen. Those licenses govern the corresponding components.

4. Accounts and purchases

Copaky does not require an account and currently offers no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid digital goods. If this changes, the App and these Terms will be updated before launch of the paid feature.

5. Acceptable use

Use the App lawfully. Do not attempt to use it to harm others, infringe rights, or violate applicable law. The clipboard manager stores data locally on your device; you are responsible for the content you choose to capture and keep.

6. No warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and copyright holders shall not be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from or in connection with the App or its use. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer rights where applicable.

8. Apple terms

Your use of Copaky through the App Store is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a valid custom EULA applies. These Terms apply between you and the Copaky operator and do not limit any rights you have under Apple's terms or mandatory law.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The courts of the place in Italy where the Copaky operator is domiciled will have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection or jurisdiction rules of your country of residence — including, in the European Union, Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 ("Brussels I-bis") and Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 ("Rome I"), and equivalent mandatory provisions in Japan, California, or elsewhere — and you may bring or defend proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where those rules so provide.

10. Export control and sanctions

You may not use, export, or re-export Copaky except as permitted by applicable export control and sanctions laws and App Store rules.

11. Changes

These Terms may be updated; the revised version will be posted here with its date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
